Important News!
The 2012 election cycle has started! With a filing deadline of December 7, 2011 we still have time to find qualified candidates for positions such as Lorain County Commissioner, State Representative, US Representative, and others. In a time when the current two dominant parties are getting more in line with each other it is becoming harder and harder to tell the two apart. Many of the people we have spoken with at our various events and meetings all have the same attitude. They are sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. We are looking for individuals sick of sitting on the sidelines watching our freedoms being eroded by bad policy to step up and take the fight to the ballot box. As mentioned above there are positions up for election and we need Libertarians to step up and and reclaim our government and return it to the limited role it was originally intended to be.
The Lorain County Libertarian Party is an official political party in Lorain County and an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Ohio. As with other political parties we have our central governing leadership known as the Central Committee. The purpose of the Central Committee is to elect the Executive Committee officers that are responsible for the day to day operations of the party. In order to maintain our status as an official political party we need individuals to make up our Central Committee. The Lorain County Libertarian Party Central Committee consists of one representative from each precinct in the county. This is a perfect position for anyone that would like to be the main point person for their precinct. Being a member of the Central Committee does not require much time as we are only required to meet twice a year. If you would be interested in running for the Lorain County Libertarian Party Central Committee please let us know by responding to this email. If you would like more information about the duties of a Central Committee member, please visit

This gives an overview of the official duties as laid out in our bylaws. We’re looking for individuals that are tired of the two party system destroying our great nation. We must start at the local level. Throughout our organization we have dedicated volunteers with experience running a campaign. We have a network of support to ensure you will have the help needed to run a winning campaign.
